Bitcoin Knots is an alternative full node implementation of Bitcoin, maintained by Luke Dashjr as a more conservative fork of Bitcoin Core. It includes additional features and patches that have not yet been merged into Bitcoin Core, along with stricter default policies around spam filtering and transaction selection. Bitcoin Knots is used by node operators who want tighter control over their mempool and block policies.
