ElectrumX
Bitcoin Nodes
ElectrumX is the original open-source server implementation for the Electrum protocol, enabling Electrum wallet users to connect to a self-hosted Bitcoin node rather than relying on third-party servers. Written in Python by Neil Booth, ElectrumX indexes the Bitcoin blockchain and serves balance queries, transaction history, and broadcast requests to Electrum clients. It has been widely deployed by Bitcoin exchanges, privacy-focused users, and Bitcoin infrastructure providers for over a decade.
