Pieter Wuille is a Belgian Bitcoin Core developer and one of the most prolific contributors to Bitcoin's codebase. He co-created Segregated Witness (SegWit, BIP141), Schnorr signatures (BIP340), and Taproot (BIP341), three of the most significant protocol upgrades in Bitcoin's history. He also co-designed BIP32 hierarchical deterministic wallets and libsecp256k1, the cryptographic library underpinning Bitcoin. Wuille is a researcher at Chaincode Labs.
