Nuri (formerly Bitwala) was a German Bitcoin banking app and card that combined a regulated bank account with Bitcoin custody. While Nuri shut down in 2022, it pioneered the Bitcoin-integrated European banking model. Bitwala/Nuri offered a Visa card linked to a German IBAN account with integrated Bitcoin buying and spending.
