Funds & ETFs

Purpose Bitcoin ETF (BTCC) was the world's first spot Bitcoin ETF, launching February 18, 2021, on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) in Canada. Purpose Investments, a Canadian asset manager, beat US regulators by nearly three years in approving a physically-backed Bitcoin ETF. BTCC holds actual Bitcoin (not futures) and achieved over $1 billion CAD in AUM within its first two days of trading. It paved the way for a wave of Canadian Bitcoin ETFs from CI Galaxy, 3iQ, and others.
