Coinbase Wallet is a self-custody cryptocurrency wallet developed by Coinbase, available as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and browser extension. Unlike the Coinbase exchange account, Coinbase Wallet gives users full control of their private keys — the company cannot access user funds. It supports Bitcoin on-chain, and the browser extension is widely used for Web3 interactions. As of 2024, Coinbase Wallet added Coinbase Smart Wallet technology but the Bitcoin functionality remains a standard self-custody experience.
